Yes ladies and gentlemen, you heard correctly: the Wu-Tang Clan will be headlining this year's Yardfest, in a dramatic shift from last year's Third-Eye Blind snoozefest and the awesomeness that was the year before that's Ben Folds "Eliot House Sucks" party. Word comes to us from reliable sources in the Pentagon of college musical life- that's right, the Harvard Computing Society, whose spies have bugged several CEB meetings and managed to scrounge up the inside info.

Well what, then, of Gavin DeGraw, the man whose name initially filled Sever Hall with suspicious whispers of his appearance at Yardfest, and filled several students with the slumber of Odysseus' lotus flowers? Well, the scoop is that the CEB rightfully believes that students old enough to remember the Wyclef Jean debacle would frown upon this last-minute attempt to save fun at Yardfest and quiver in fear when thinking about the slim probability of the whole crew showing up.

Rumor has it the CEB has also hired "Crossing Over" and Sci-Fi channel star con artist John Edward (not to be confused with nationally-recognized ambulance chaser and political heartthrob John Edwards) to confirm that elusive star rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard- will appear (Clairvoyant jailbird Miss Cleo has also been called in as a backup). To that end, and the fact that many on the CEB need to fulfill a charity quota for their own consciences and saving DeGraw from his current gig at Touch n' Go Electronics in Omaha, Nebraska would more than qualify as a good deed, they have decided to keep both acts and have them collaborate in peace and harmony. HCS's tape recorders managed to catch CEB chair Jack Pararas '08-'09 explaining to his colleagues, "we have to take the opportunity given to us by the WalMart insurance lawsuit scandal to prove that we are at least more charitable than someone out there, thus giving UHall and the UC more reason to fund us!"
