BLAST FROM THE PAST: UC Hero John Haddock '07 Spotted in Cambidge

In the heat of one of the most contested battles in history for the all-irrelevant UC presidency, we've often sat here and asked ourselves, "Where is that hot slice of UC manliness John Haddock '07 when you really need him?" After all, in a year that- between getting women back in power, making Quadlings happy again, and the resemblance of these posters (!)- is almost guaranteed to be deja vu in Currier all over again, it's hard not to look back fondly on the most functional UC presidency of the past five years (YEAH, WE SAID IT, MATT GLASER '06- WE REMEMBER THE LAMONT BURRITO RIOT, and we remember John Haddock courageously protesting for Quadling rights when the rest of the River celebrated) and wish that somehow, magically, Haddock would reemerge from the shadows into our newly fruitful lives.

Well, that's what GossipGeek is for. A lucky affiliated correspondent caught this unmistakable image of the legend in action, slipping out into the darkness between Mount Auburn and JFK Streets:What was our hero possibly doing there? Having a blast-from-the-past Noch's field trip? Slipping discretely out of the Fox after a night out on the town? Just STARTING a night out on the town? GossipGeek speculates that Haddock was indeed walking out of Noch's and straight back to Currier to give some always-welcome advice to his heir apparent, FiComm Chair Andrea Flores '10. After all, rumors abound of Haddock's moroseness in the past few years, a product of the UC being run by a man with no House affiliation whatsoever and a feverish Matherite, and having a petite Southwestern replacement for himself after waiting for so long isn't really all that bad. The real question is: Where's Tony Britt '10?
