Liu, expected June 2008 through the Advanced Standing AB/AM Physics Program Harvard '08 graduate, promised Richard Branson one of his paintings in exchange for a spot on Virgin Galactic's first space tourism flight.
Obviously, this mutual exchange is a huge deal for both Liu and Branson, but before they could make an agreement, Liu had to be screened to make sure he is fit for space flight. He was quick to provide his resume, which we have also managed to get our hands on (supplied by the dubiously named Bobby Teenager). Of course, Liu was always a shoo-in for the space tourism program and was sure to charm with such gems as [my emphasis]:
"Extremely proficient in classical media and style, modern conceptual art, and elements of design" (a claim which you can judge the truthfulness of yourself at Liu's personal website), and
"Classical Poetry, proficient in classical forms, especially sonnets and villanelles; has successfully composed a palindrome sonnet" (a little obsessed with palindromes, aren't we?)
Other than his proficiency in writing sonnets, Liu also impressed Branson with his description of Tuesday Magazine (over whose art board he presides) as the "premier collegiate publication of general interest on all forms of intellectual discourse." In the next two pages, Liu detailed his experience in physics, tennis (including a detailed illustration of his killer swing), and some other crap we won't bother to mention because, like most of the employers the resume was perfumed, glittered, and shunted off to, I failed to read it. After this delightful exchange, Branson ate Liu's resume, regurgitated it, and spit it out like a human confetti fountain above the heads of his laboring former U.S.S.R. scientist hostages, declaring, "Eureka!"

i think he's one of the very few people at harvard who has a legit 2 page resume though, though he is very pretentious
