Is Chris Ballesteros '09 really Filipino Phenomenon Manny Pacquiao in Disguise?

Ah, Chris Ballesteros '09. He is the cherry on our delicious pastry that is life. When we thought our lives would end with the departure of such prominent campus figures as Alex de Carvahlo '08, Harrison Greenbaum '09, Ryan Petersen '12, and, of course, the wonderful Nate Dern '98, Baller Ballesteros just showed up and started campaigning all over our asses, making an otherwise relaxing and pleasant summer into a journalistic scramble of epic proportions. He's been a little mum lately after the draconian rule of Stephen T. Cupps '10 bound, gagged, tarred, and feathered him out of the public eye for something only vaguely described as "suspicious anti-government douchiness". But while he's gone, we've been thinking: could Chris Ballesteros really just be Filipino boxer, politician, singer, actor, and superstar extraordinaire Manny Pacquiao in disguise? We present to you the evidence:

• In the photo on the left, Ballesteros is doing his best Obama impression, playing the Sarah Palin card ("I'm not from the continental US!") and mustering up all the classiness he has to win over the audience. Pretty good, but check him out here on the right, playing guitar while boxing in a song called "Para Sa 'Yo Ang Laban Na 'To", which roughly translates from Tagalog into "This Fight is for You". Isn't that one of Ballesteros' campaign talking points, "fighting for you"? It's everyone else's talking point.
• Ballesteros is from an island (Hawaii), as is Manny Pacquiao (Philippines)
• This one time, Manny Pacquiao ran for a legislative seat in the Philippines, and wants to do it again! AND- he's already campaigning! Sound familiar?
