Petros is Our Hero

It's no secret we here at GossipGeek are big fans of Harvard's greatest Eurotechno Synthpop superstar Petros '09. He's the closest we'll ever get to legit Eurovision and diving master Sakis Rouvas, our site mascot, who happens to get all his moves from Petros (no, for real, check it out).

In fact, we were so full of glee at the fact that he was performing yesterday that we, er, forgot to advertise it. That said, we did cover the event in its full glory! A lot of pictures need photoshopping (though Petros' sexy silhouette is enough for us, we hold the viewers to a higher standard), but here are the ones we CAN show in public! Video forthcoming, but we didn't bother to do a great job since Petros' brother Vassili was there with professional equipment (you'd better Youtube that performance, Petro!).

The Petros playlist: VIP, Guilty, Predator, Afroditi, and Body Glow as the encore. VIP and Guilty, both off the same album, were amazing in and of themselves, but overshadowed completely by the next three performances. Predator, the newest single from the pop master (listen here), is much more traditional than the Middle Eastern-influenced Body Glow/Anabeis Fantasies, which for those of you that loved Afroditi may be a little disconcerting, but it's pretty amazing, mostly for the lyrics and some awesome sound effects that Petros does with his voice. Sample lyric: "You spend your day updating your MySpace". YES.

Afroditi featured a performance by one of those awesome girls we covered that one time that made themselves Petros t-shirts and it was typically awesome. Body Glow was our favorite, honestly, because it's just so damn good.

Anyway, photo essay forthcoming!
